  1. Brief introduction:

    Alloy 904L (UNS N08904) is a super austenitic stainless steel with 25% nickel and 4.5% molybdenum.

    Alloy 904L provides good chloride stress corrosion cracking resistance, pitting and general corrosion resistance superior to 316L and 317L molybdenum enhanced stainless steels.

    It is non-magnetic in all conditions and has excellent weldability and formability. The austenitic structure also gives this grade excellent toughness, even down to cryogenic temperatures.

    It’s suitable for pollution control, chemical processing, metallurgical processing, oil and gas production, pharmaceutical industry, pulp and paper, seawater and brakish water industry.
