Introduction to Chemical Composition of 1J79 Soft Magnetic Alloy

Introduction to 1J79 Soft Magnetic Alloy:

1J79 alloy is a permalloy, belonging to the iron-nickel soft magnetic alloy series. It has the characteristics of high magnetic permeability and low coercive force, and is widely used to make electronic components with high sensitivity, accurate size, small size, low high-frequency loss, and good time and temperature stability. Because alloys are very sensitive to stress, annealing treatment must be performed before use in order to fully exploit their magnetic properties. In addition to chemical composition and smelting process, heat treatment process is also the main factor that affects the magnetic properties of permalloy. Its properties are mainly affected by factors such as temperature, holding time, annealing method, cooling speed, and so on. Due to the significant impact of heat treatment processes on magnetic properties, corresponding heat treatment processes should be used for products from different manufacturers and different service conditions. Obviously, it is necessary to deeply study the heat treatment process of 1J79 alloy. The magnetic properties of 1J79 alloy are improved through a two-stage continuous annealing process, resulting in higher saturation magnetization and lower coercive force.

1J79 application scope Application fields include:

Used for making pulse transformers, highly sensitive relays, magnetic amplifiers, magnetic regulators, current transformers, iron cores for programmed telephones, electronic meter stepper motors, high-precision ammeters, choke coils, magnetic shields, etc

1J79 soft magnetic alloy was prepared by vacuum arc furnace melting method, and different annealing methods were used for annealing treatment. The impurity content and grain growth were observed using an electron probe (EPMA-1600); The magnetic hysteresis loop of the alloy was measured using a vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) to analyze the changes in magnetic properties. The results show that using two stage continuous annealing process is beneficial to remove impurities from the alloy, purify the alloy, and improve the magnetic properties of the alloy. That is, the coercive force is significantly reduced, and the saturation magnetization is slightly increased.

Usage example: Iron nickel soft magnetic alloy with high initial permeability. Used for making various transformers and mutual inductors that work in weak magnetic fields. Magnetic amplifier, choke core, magnetic shield, etc
